We are a business that will take a path not easily walked. We believe that only with this philosophy, we can encounter, explore and take advantage of new business niches and new breakthrough business opportunities.
We started the battery reconditioning and restoration business in 2005, using a technique developed by Sulfarid Technologies to restore and recondition lead acid batteries. None would believe that reconditioned and restored batteries could be reliable but over the years we have proven that they are. The best vindication of this is the today we see other battery reconditioning businesses starting up.
We have moved from lead acid batteries to reconditioning HEV batteries for hybrid vehicles. This in turn have led us to develop the Power Jockey and the Power Saddle.
Our Purpose
To change our mindset in the way we view and use energy with an emphasis on sustainability.
Habits of a lifetime are hard to change. We must start by questioning everything that we do and ask ourselves if there is a better way. Small changes will lead to big changes both in scale and the magnitude of change as time progresses. We should question how we use energy, and how we look after our environment with the mantra of sustainability foremost in our minds.
Our Approach
1) Energy – Solar, wind and hydro power will be common place in the future. As these technologies advance the cost of harnessing these sources of energy will come down. However most of the cost today are regulatory and compliance cost. We will combat these cost by disseminating information here for free.
2) Battery banks – The main problem with battery banks is their cost, and if we factor in depreciation this cost is a major stumbling block towards wide scale acceptance and integration into our energy horizon. We will supply reconditioned and restored battery banks at a fraction of replacement costs. We will explore new and more cost effective ways of energy storage.
3) Transport – The future of passenger and commercial land transport will be in hybrid and electric vehicles. Our development in the Power Jockey will extend the useful life of these vehicles. The impact of this is threefold. Firstly we push the envelop for fuel economy in these vehicles. Secondly extending the service life of these vehicles will save huge amount of resources and pollution. Thirdly we will make these vehicles affordable to the masses and dispel the perception that these vehicles are elitist.
Recycling
Recycling is the core of our business approach. Beginning with battery recycling we are venturing into other areas of waste management. This is a blue ocean area for new discoveries and our planet needs it.
