Hybrid cars are totally different in design and much of the standard engine components such as distributor, carburetor, alternator, generator, clutch, and gearbox have been designed out of the system. This means that much of the standard service procedures are no longer relevant but in it’s place we have other essential service checks that should be performed.

Check condition of air filters
Check adjustment of handbrakes
Inspect tyre condition and pressure

Check steering and CV boot
Check 12 volt battery
Optional item : Remove and clean throttle body extra $45

Throttle body : Over time dirt and residue collect on the butterfly flange and inside the throttle body as well as clog up the spring loaded mechanism. This sometimes bring up a “damper failure” error. When this happens we remove the throttle body and clean it in an ultrasonic bath. This ensures a complete clean and frees up the spring loaded mechanism. Outside of a service we charge $75 to perform this operation.
